Summer is set to sizzle across the City of Nedlands as the annual Summer Concerts in the Park series celebrates its 21st anniversary in 2018.
Get into the groove every Sunday in February from 5:30pm to 7pm with some swinging, soulful sounds at a free gig in one of the City’s many picturesque parks.
There’s a top Perth band to enjoy every week, plus children’s activities including face-painting and a bouncy castle. Dinner is sorted with various food options, including pizza, ice cream and a sausage sizzle (or you can BYO a picnic), making this an ideal way to round off a summer weekend.
Here’s what’s happening each Sunday:
Sunday, 4 February at Lawler Park, Floreat – Little Belle will play popular covers with a modern edge
Sunday, 11 February at Mason Gardens, Dalkeith – come along and hear jazz, rhythm and blues with Adam Hall and The Velvet Playboys
Sunday, 18 February at Allen Park, Swanbourne – Slim Jim and the PHATTS will bust out all the hits from the 80s to today
Sunday, 25 February at Dot Bennett Park, Nedlands – enjoy disco, funk and timeless classics by Flash Nat and the Action Men.
The 2018 Summer Concerts are proudly supported by Lotterywest and The Road Safety Commission.
These free summer events are a fantastic way to enjoy some local music, spend time with family and relax before the working week starts again.
