The Lad and the Flagpole

Whilst the story of ANZAC Cottage and its construction by the community in one day is well known, lesser known but just as interesting is the story about the Cottage flagpole and the young lad whose sacrifice gave rise to its being. Visit the Cottage at the next Open Day and hear talks about the Lad and the Flagpole at 1:30 and 2:45. Bookings are not required, and all are welcome, with free entry and afternoon tea for a gold coin donation.
